REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY

At SiliconSouk, we want you to be happy with your purchase. As a UK-based retailer, our policy is designed to protect your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

1. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL (CHANGE OF MIND)

Under UK law, you have the right to cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of receiving your items. At SiliconSouk, we extend this peace of mind by offering a 30-day return window.

  • Timeline: You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

  • Condition: To be eligible for a "change of mind" return, the item must be in a resalable condition. While you have the right to inspect the goods as you would in a physical shop, items should ideally be returned with original tags and packaging.

  • Exclusions: Certain items, such as software with a broken seal or personalised goods, may be exempt from the right to cancel.

2. DAMAGED, FAULTY, OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If your item is defective, damaged, or you received the wrong product, please contact us immediately at talk@siliconsouk.co.uk.

  • The 30-Day "Short-Term Right to Reject": Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if your goods are faulty, you are entitled to a full refund within 30 days of receipt.

  • After 30 Days: If a fault develops after the first 30 days but within six months, we are entitled to an opportunity to repair or replace the item before a refund is issued.

3. HOW TO START A RETURN

  • Important: Items sent back to us without first requesting a return via email may experience significant delays in processing.

4. RETURN SHIPPING COSTS

  • Faulty/Incorrect Items: We will provide a pre-paid return shipping label or reimburse your postage costs.

  • Change of Mind: For standard returns where the item is not faulty, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

5. EXCHANGES

The most efficient way to exchange an item is to return the original for a refund and place a new order for the desired item simultaneously.

6. REFUNDS

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the status of your refund.

  • Approval: If approved, you will be refunded automatically on your original payment method.

  • Timeline: In accordance with UK regulations, we will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the goods back (or receiving evidence that you have sent them).

  • Bank Processing: Please note it may take an additional 3–5 business days for your bank or card issuer to show the credit on your statement.
